How much does a storage unit cost in Anderson, SC?

Storage units at Ryder Mini Storage start at $50 a month for a 5×10, with 10×10 units at $65 and 10×20 units at $130. Those are the real, current rates — the same numbers you'll see when you go to reserve, with no administrative fee added at signup and no required insurance purchase.

We're also running our move-in offer right now: second month free on move-in.

Do I have to buy insurance to rent a unit?

No. Ryder Mini Storage does not require tenant insurance, and we don't sell a policy you're obligated to buy.

This is unusual. Most storage operators — especially the national chains — either require you to purchase their protection plan or show proof of a homeowner's or renter's policy before they'll hand over the keys. We don't do either. If you want your belongings covered, check whether your existing renter's or homeowner's policy already extends to off-site storage; many do.

Are there any hidden fees or deposits?

No. The monthly rate you see is what you pay — there's no administrative fee, no setup fee, and no security deposit.

You're also not required to buy a lock from us at the counter. Bring your own disc lock, or pick one up wherever you like.

What size storage unit do I need?

Most people renting a one-bedroom apartment's worth of belongings need a 10×10, which holds a couch, a bed, a kitchen table, and roughly fifteen boxes.

Below that, a 5×10 handles a dorm room or studio. Above it, a 10×15 covers a two to three bedroom house, and a 10×20 fits a three-bedroom home or a car plus household goods. If you're between two sizes, size up — the difference in rent is smaller than the cost of a second trip. Our size guide walks through each one, or call and describe what you've got and we'll tell you honestly.

What are your gate access hours?

The gate is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day, including Sundays.

Business account holders can arrange 24-hour access. The office is staffed Monday through Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 9 to noon, so if you need a person rather than a gate code, those are the hours to come by.

Is the facility secure?

Yes — the property is fully fenced, gated with keypad entry, and covered by 24-hour video surveillance, with a manager on site six days a week.

The on-site part matters more than people expect. Cameras record what happened; a manager who walks the property notices a door that isn't latched or a lock that's been tampered with before it becomes your problem.

Do you have climate controlled units?

Our units are non-climate-controlled drive-up units, which suits the great majority of what people store in the Upstate.

Furniture, appliances, tools, seasonal gear, business inventory, and household goods all do fine. If you're storing something genuinely sensitive to heat and humidity — a piano, fine art, vinyl records, or certain electronics — call us first and we'll tell you straight whether we're the right fit, rather than take the rental and let you find out later.

Can I drive right up to my storage unit?

Yes. Every self storage unit at Ryder is drive-up access with a roll-up door, so you can back a vehicle or trailer directly to the door and unload.

There are no elevators, no interior corridors, and no hauling things across a building. For anyone moving appliances or furniture without a crew, this is the single biggest difference between an easy afternoon and a miserable one.

Do you offer boat and RV parking?

Yes. We rent uncovered, paved parking spaces for boats, RVs, campers, trailers, and work vehicles, starting at $65 a month.

Spaces sit inside the same gated, camera-covered property as the storage buildings. It's a common fix for HOA rules that won't let you keep a camper in the driveway. See boat and RV parking for details.

Do you rent warehouse space or offices?

Yes. Ryder rents commercial warehouse bays with private loading docks and electricity, plus one private office suite with its own bathroom and kitchenette.

Business accounts can arrange 24/7 access. This is the part of our facility most people don't know exists — several Anderson businesses run their whole operation out of a warehouse bay here. See warehouse storage and office space.

How do I reserve a unit?

You can reserve a unit online in a couple of minutes, and we'll follow up to confirm it and set a time for you to come in.

We reserve rather than rent online on purpose. It means we talk to you before you get a gate code — long enough to make sure the size actually fits what you're storing and to answer anything you want to ask. Reserve a unit, or call (864) 224-5389 and we'll do it over the phone. If you'd rather look at the space first, come by during office hours and someone will walk you out to it.

How do I pay my storage bill?

You can pay online through your tenant account at any time, or set up autopay so rent comes out automatically each month.

You can also pay in person at the office during business hours. Sign in to your account to pay online, or register for online access if you've never logged in before — you'll need your gate code and unit number.

How long do I have to rent for?

Rentals are month to month — there's no long-term lease and no minimum term.

Stay a month while you move, or stay for years. Give us notice when you're ready to go and we'll close it out.

Where exactly are you located?

Ryder Mini Storage is at 110 Ryder Lane, Suite B, Anderson, SC 29625, just off the Highway 28 Bypass on the west side of Anderson.

We're a few minutes from Homeland Park and Centerville, about fifteen minutes from downtown Anderson, and roughly twenty-five minutes from Clemson. Get directions.

Still not sure what you need?

Describe what you're storing and we'll tell you which size fits — including when a smaller one will do.
