Warehouse and storage buildings at Ryder Mini Storage in Anderson, South Carolina

Warehouse storage with loading docks in Anderson

Commercial bays with their own loading dock and electricity — and 24/7 access for business accounts. The part of our property most people don't know exists.

Built for working out of

Not a big storage unit. An actual warehouse bay.

There's a real difference between a large storage unit and a warehouse, and it comes down to the dock. Loading at dock height means a box truck backs in level with your floor and you roll pallets straight off. Loading at ground level means a ramp, a pallet jack that fights you, and an extra hour every delivery.

Our warehouse bays have their own loading dock and their own electricity, with bathrooms on site. Bays differ from one another — some have a built-in office — because they've been fitted out around what the tenant actually does. Several Anderson businesses run their entire operation out of one. These suit a business that needs a home base, not just somewhere to put things.

Who uses them

What Anderson businesses keep here

Warehouse availability moves slowly — when a bay opens it usually goes fast. Call to get on the list.

E-commerce inventory

Receive pallets at the dock, pick and pack in the bay, hand off to carriers. Cheaper than a 3PL and you keep your hands on the stock.

Contractors & trades

Materials, tools, and a truck under one roof, gated overnight. Beats a job-site trailer that walks off.

Retail overflow

Seasonal stock and backstock out of your expensive retail square footage and ten minutes down the road.

Equipment & fleet

Powered space for machinery, service vehicles, and gear that shouldn't sit outside all winter.

Questions

About commercial space

Do I have to buy insurance to rent a unit?

No. Ryder Mini Storage does not require tenant insurance, and we don't sell a policy you're obligated to buy.

This is unusual. Most storage operators — especially the national chains — either require you to purchase their protection plan or show proof of a homeowner's or renter's policy before they'll hand over the keys. We don't do either. If you want your belongings covered, check whether your existing renter's or homeowner's policy already extends to off-site storage; many do.

Are there any hidden fees or deposits?

No. The monthly rate you see is what you pay — there's no administrative fee, no setup fee, and no security deposit.

You're also not required to buy a lock from us at the counter. Bring your own disc lock, or pick one up wherever you like.

What are your gate access hours?

The gate is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day, including Sundays.

Business account holders can arrange 24-hour access. The office is staffed Monday through Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 9 to noon, so if you need a person rather than a gate code, those are the hours to come by.

Can I drive right up to my storage unit?

Yes. Every self storage unit at Ryder is drive-up access with a roll-up door, so you can back a vehicle or trailer directly to the door and unload.

There are no elevators, no interior corridors, and no hauling things across a building. For anyone moving appliances or furniture without a crew, this is the single biggest difference between an easy afternoon and a miserable one.

Do you rent warehouse space or offices?

Yes. Ryder rents commercial warehouse bays with private loading docks and electricity, plus one private office suite with its own bathroom and kitchenette.

Business accounts can arrange 24/7 access. This is the part of our facility most people don't know exists — several Anderson businesses run their whole operation out of a warehouse bay here. See warehouse storage and office space.
