Storage and warehouse buildings used by Anderson SC businesses at Ryder Mini Storage

Storage for business inventory in Anderson

From a single drive-up unit for overflow stock to a warehouse bay with its own loading dock. Month to month, so your space matches your season.

Short answer: if you're moving boxes by hand, a drive-up storage unit is enough and starts at $50 a month. If you're receiving pallets, you want a warehouse bay with a loading dock. Both are month to month, and business accounts can get 24/7 gate access.

The stage most Anderson businesses hit

It starts in the garage. Then the garage is full, so it moves to the spare room. Then a supplier's minimum order arrives on a pallet and there is genuinely nowhere to put it, and you're looking at commercial leases that want three years and a personal guarantee for space you might not need next quarter.

Storage is the step in between, and it stretches a lot further than most people assume.

The dock is the dividing line. If a box truck is delivering to you, unloading at dock height instead of ground level saves an hour and a back every single delivery.

What businesses actually keep here

E-commerce sellers receiving and picking their own stock. Contractors keeping materials and a truck behind a gate overnight. Retailers pulling seasonal backstock out of expensive storefront square footage. Service companies parking equipment and fleet vehicles. Several run a bay and an office suite together and operate entirely from this property.

Why month to month matters more than the rate

Inventory needs are seasonal, and a three-year lease prices your worst month for all thirty-six of them. Month-to-month means you take a second unit for Q4 and give it back in January. Over a couple of years that flexibility usually beats a lower per-square-foot rate on a term you can't get out of.

Questions

Business storage questions

Do I have to buy insurance to rent a unit?

No. Ryder Mini Storage does not require tenant insurance, and we don't sell a policy you're obligated to buy.

This is unusual. Most storage operators — especially the national chains — either require you to purchase their protection plan or show proof of a homeowner's or renter's policy before they'll hand over the keys. We don't do either. If you want your belongings covered, check whether your existing renter's or homeowner's policy already extends to off-site storage; many do.

Are there any hidden fees or deposits?

No. The monthly rate you see is what you pay — there's no administrative fee, no setup fee, and no security deposit.

You're also not required to buy a lock from us at the counter. Bring your own disc lock, or pick one up wherever you like.

What are your gate access hours?

The gate is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM every day, including Sundays.

Business account holders can arrange 24-hour access. The office is staffed Monday through Friday 9 to 5 and Saturday 9 to noon, so if you need a person rather than a gate code, those are the hours to come by.

Is the facility secure?

Yes — the property is fully fenced, gated with keypad entry, and covered by 24-hour video surveillance, with a manager on site six days a week.

The on-site part matters more than people expect. Cameras record what happened; a manager who walks the property notices a door that isn't latched or a lock that's been tampered with before it becomes your problem.

Can I drive right up to my storage unit?

Yes. Every self storage unit at Ryder is drive-up access with a roll-up door, so you can back a vehicle or trailer directly to the door and unload.

There are no elevators, no interior corridors, and no hauling things across a building. For anyone moving appliances or furniture without a crew, this is the single biggest difference between an easy afternoon and a miserable one.

Do you rent warehouse space or offices?

Yes. Ryder rents commercial warehouse bays with private loading docks and electricity, plus one private office suite with its own bathroom and kitchenette.

Business accounts can arrange 24/7 access. This is the part of our facility most people don't know exists — several Anderson businesses run their whole operation out of a warehouse bay here. See warehouse storage and office space.
